Haru pauses beside the garden stream

Haru.

Still trying.
Still becoming.

Get to know him

Some effort
goes unseen.

He has learned to try again. A different approach. Another skill. A fresh beginning. Still, there are days when all that effort seems to disappear between where he is and where he hoped to be.

He wants to move forward. He also wants, sometimes, for someone to notice how far he has already come.

Does it count,
even here?

Haru looking toward the stream

The water carries on.
He watches.

His hand follows the edge of a stone. Water moves around it. For once, his attention has somewhere to go that is not a question about himself.

I can begin from here.

A pause belongs
to the journey, too.

There is more to Haru than the things he is trying to finish. He follows a ripple until it disappears. Reaches toward a stone, then leaves it where it is. Small things can still hold his attention.

Rest does not settle every question. It gives him room to hear something beyond them. When he looks up, the path is still there—and he can choose what comes next.
